Martin Rowson on the State of Comics

While looking through old issues of Crisis to find The New Adventures of Hitler, I came across these two cartoons by Martin Rowson, editorial cartoonist for The Guardian, and comics adaptor of The Waste Land and Tristram Shandy. (Click to enlarge, as usual.)

Although those date from 1991, sixteen years ago, there’s not much that would need changing if they were to be published today.

Except, of course, that there’s no equivalent of Crisis to publish them any more.
